Youth Participation in Green Cities: Objectives
The project aims to foster collaboration between cities and youth to enhance urban sustainability by establishing a network of self-sufficient, youth-led NGOs in partner cities and raising awareness among young and also adult citizens about the importance and potential of creating their own innovative, green cities.
Activities
The project’s main activities include creating a Training Framework to guide the development of Smart Cities (R1), building a dedicated Training Platform to deliver this education (R2), and also fostering the formation of Green Youth Communities to apply this knowledge in real-world settings (R3).
Project Results
The project focuses on developing a comprehensive Smart Cities training module, creating a platform to host it, enhancing skills and also knowledge related to green Smart Cities, forming a collaborative green city network, establishing six green youth community NGOs, and ultimately building a robust and interconnected network of youth-led NGOs.
